GOOD CONDITION overall with a number small dings in all pieces. The most notable problem is several repairs along the outer edge of the cartouche of both the sugar bowl and tea pot. The creamer does not appear to have been repaired. The tea pot and creamer have been filled with water for 24 and 12 hours, respectively, and no leaks were detected. These are made of a heavy guage of silver. The handle of the tea pot is tight and the hinge works smoothly. There are No monograms nor signs that there ever were. Several photos show what looks like dents in the carthouche--the only piece with a dent in this area is the creamer. The sugar bowl is heavily gold guilded. The creamer appears to be guilded as well, but the color is not as rich. Beautiful, Highly Ornate Victorian pattern.
A Coffee Pot was purchased with this set that has an almost identical pattern but was made by Daniel and Charles Houle in 1853. I have not included with this set because the coffee pot does have damage that has resulted in a leak and needs repair. If you are interested in that as well, please email.
