The bow itself measures 5 inches across, 2 inches high at each end.

The second photo shows the adjustable twill ribbon/tape neckband that the finished bow tie is mounted on, to slide so you can hook it anywhere you like. It fits under the collar so that only the bow tie itself shows, as seen in the first photo.

Aletha's husband says that these ties are easy to put on, easy to wear, much more comfortable than conventional long ties.
