FACTUAL PRESENTATION OF OUR WESTERN TREASURES P> Frankly, in our history – a meeting in a little sleepy town named Veragara changed history. Thus was so in Mexico, when Samuel Colt and Samuel Walker met to redesign the Colt revolver. IT WAS THE BIRTHPLACE OF THE WALKER COLTArmed with the new, heavier Colt .44 he had help to design, Sam Walker and 80 of his Texas Rangers stopped a charge by 2,000 Mexicans Lancer. This confrontation established the terror known as The Texas Rangers that has lasted among the Mexican population for more than 125 years. Rarely has any group’s reputation lasted this long anywhere. OLD TEXAS RANGER MEMORABILIA IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING Folks, strange to run onto a featured article in an old Canadian Western and let me tell just one of the seldom found stories here. Seems that after the battles, old Santa Anna had been deposed but given safe conduct to take a ship into exile. Well, them Texas Rangers had a score to settle with this guy but – orders or orders – and Rip Ford and Jack Hays spend hours talking their compadres out of lynching the old General. But the road to exile passed by the Texans camp so they lined up with their twin Colts and Bowie knifes looking like roughly dressed desperados and stood silently by as the old General straightened himself, locked his hands on his cane and stared straight ahead as he walked until he was well out of harms way. WHAT GREAT UNTOLD STORIES LOS RINCHES and noted author Ford Green packs a lot of history about Samuel Colt, Samuel Walker, the Colt revolvers and the Texas Rangers in this great and exciting western story illustrated by Frederick Remington. Of course, there were many a western story published – the common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on eCRATER every day but the rarer ones about the Texas Rangers, the Colt revolvers and the battles of the pioneer west are seldom found. Collectors treasure them and their price guide value rises every day. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest. I NEVER SAW IT BEFORE FOLLOWING PURCHASE AND PAYMENT, IF YOU WILL WRITE ME OF YOUR SPECIAL NAME OR INTEREST, I WILL DO A FREE SEARCH OF MY WEBSITE AND UNINDEXED STORIES AND NAMES. WWW.GENEALOGYIMAGESOFHISTORY.COM IF I FIND SOMETHING THAT I THINK MERITS YOUR INTEREST, I WILL WRITE A REVIEW AND PLACE IT ON eCRATER AND GIVE YOU NOTICE AND A HEAD START TO BUYITNOW! Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western heroes. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because Old Western History and Memorabilia was printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell. This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost. Humbly, I am trying to keep our history alive. I hope you appreciate the effort. LOS RINCHES By Ford Green Folks, sooner or later - Genealogists are going to realize that their family kinfolks are laying on some dealer's dusty shelves. If I can contribute to finding one little name or photo of that long lost ancestor you have been waiting to find, it’s worth all the time I spend. It’s a shame that our past is being lost. It’s as simple as that. My wife kids me that after I find a piece I like, buy it, read it, research it, take a picture, scan it, write the blurb, pay the eCRATER entry fee and commission, that I end up making about 50 cents an hour. But, OH HOW I LOVE THIS OLD WESTERN HISTORY. What a story, Rare Story!!! Great Pictures. You will love it as it was published in this old complete and seldom found western magazine of many years ago. The issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in vibrant color. As clearly stated in my description, this is featured story in a rarely found and seldom read unusual and complete western magazine. I don't give out name of publication or date because I have caught competitors copying my index and work and trying to sell it as theirs. I hope you understand. Buyer pays postage of $3.50 First Class Postage to U. S., $5.00 Priority Mail. $13.25 Par Avion for International Mail. (We have been very disappointed in the time frame for our international mailing. It seems our post office is now mailing surface mailing and it sometimes take over 30 days to get to destination.)Texans must pay 8-¼ % sales tax.
