The colors in this tablecloth evoke vague memories of a childhood I can't really remember, yet certain colors and shapes take me foggily back to those very early years. This tablecloth has the jadite green, light brown and red that are so indicative of the post depression years. The design is of floral cameos, sprays of cabbage roses, butterflies and lattice.
It is cotton or a rayon and cotton blend; it has that drapiness you find in these old tablecloths. It measures 43x40 and is in exceptional condition for its age. I almost hate to mention its flaws. Sort of like describing your beloved grandmother wrinkle by wrinkle.
The flaws are few. One tiny hole, less than a pea-size, that would respond to a darn or mend and 4 specks of soil that may come out as I have done nothing to this. It has a blanket-stitched hem.
