This is a hat made of red velvet and lined with a red material. It probably dates to the 1960 based on style. This has a red gros grain ribbon with a bow in the front. The ribbon is backed with a stiff material to which the brim and the top crown piece are sewn. The velvet was somewhat gathered on the brim and above the ribbon as it was sewn in place. The hat is a small head size. The internal circumference is only about 20 inches and that appears to be how it was made, so this will fit only someone with a small head. The velvet is clean with no tears or rips but does have a few shiny spots from handling.
