This is a lovely, very old, solid brass swan vase. This beautiful vase was made by artist and sculptor, Frederick Cooper of Chicago, who started his business in 1923. This swan vase has detailed curved lines and a scalloped top. It has an interior lining so that it could hold water without damaging the brass. This large swan measures 14" tall and 9" wide. The opening at the top measures 9" x 5". It has its gold foil label that reads: Frederick Cooper Chicago. The brass has some patina but also a richness of coloring only aged metal displays. No metal polish was used on this piece so as not to alter its vintage appeal. It displays beautifully and blends in with other odds and ends in a collection. This is an elegant piece!
