PERSONAL EFFECTS--A Novel of Hollywood by Rex Reed, Arbor House, First Edition, 1986, hardcover. Black cover, black cloth part cover and
spine covering, gold spine lettering, grey end papers, 444 deckled pages, Prologue.
---A glitzy Hollywood novel by the former film critic who knew everyone's secrets. Author relates the stars' personal and professional passions; their adulteries and marriages, their great successes, their dark failures. ....The cast of fictional characters are gathered around the grave of Gilda Greenway--Hollywood's immortal star, and most famous murder victim. Humprhrey Bogart, John Wayne, and all the other real life people make cameo appearances in the dangerous world of Personal Effects.
---Signed/Inscribed on the second front free end paper: For Tony --Any brother of George's is a friend of mine! -- Rex Reed
Page edges have some light foxing, otherwise book is clean, and in very good condition. Straight spine, interior tightly bound with no writing, stamps, torn, or loose pages. ...Dust jacket is price clipped, some light foxing of the inside---has no tears or chipping.
NOTE: I have acquired many hardcover books from an estate that were signed/inscribed to a "Tony Christy". They are all from the late 1980's - early 1990's. It appears that he had a brother connected to the California scene, and acquired the signed books for him.
