For sell are twenty-five (25) seeds of Sabal domingensis. This palm is native to Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti) and western Cuba and is fairly rare in cultivation in the U.S. This is unfortunate since it is one of the more robust Sabals with a stouter trunk than Sabal palmetto. the crown is larger and more open than Sabal palmetto. Due to its limited use in cultivation its hardiness is still being determined. There are successful reports of cold hardiness up to Zones 8B-A. Like its close cousin the Sabal palmetto, it tolerates a wide range of soil types and appears to be quite drought tolerant. These seeds were collected from palms in the Dominican Republic in January,2011. Shipping is free to mainland U.S. and Canada.
