This pepper is a mainstay for spicy mexican dishes. It is used in salads, sandwiches, spicy dishes and is great stuffed with cream cheese and broiled or on the BBQ.
A bushy plant, peppers grow to 2-4" long and can be picked either when green or red. Plants need to be spaced about 12" apart in full sun.
Sow seeds once temps are about 70, 1/16" deep in well drained soil. Peppers will be mature in about 60-80 days.
Pepper plants are heavy feeders and use more water than other vegetables in your garden. be sure to fertilize once a month once the plant is established. I use an organic fish fertilizer which they love.
Pepper plants can be grown either in large containers or in the ground. pepper plants have virtually no pest problems!
