6""FANCY"SQUID JIGGING RIG 7/0 TREBLE HOOK
Hello Fellow Fisherman,I still have yet to see a store bought or any manufactured rig even in the same league as this style teaser Deep-Water jigging Rig.I was taught how to make rigs by working with Long Islands best captains over the past 20 years. With all things considered I,m sticking with ANDE 80lb leader material.I rarely build this rig with the "FANCY" 6inch two-tone Squids mostly due to the $$$-price of these guys. They are very realistic and very durable.I wanted an all-out kill/pool/slow-day rig so I went with these "OLD SCHOOL" 8/0 3/4x Mustad Treble hook.I put the teaser close to the leader so the treble won't grab your line and foul once in a while.I used some small "GLOW" beads for hook placement and added a Mylar skirt in between the squid & hook for good measure. The metal crimp is covered with this wicked bright glow rubber tinker tubing made for Halibut fishing on the West cost.I use the same tubing with a tiny "GLOW" bead to cover the crimp attaching the Heavy-Duty snap for your jig.NO KNOTS to fail. Finally where the key to the rig lies is a 165lb barrel swivel to attach your braid too over a small piece of green line protector. This rig set up has caught countless double headers and comes in a re-usable bag with drainage. This is not a one trip rig.I make each one myself and have yet in the past 3 or 4 years since I have been selling them to the public had any negative feedback or that a rig failed on someone.
If your looking at the rig and thinking "Wow,it's almost perfect, only if it..........I specialize in customization, just let me know what would make it perfect for you. Please ask questions and make request, sincerely Capt.Larry
