The Sacagawea dollar was first minted in 2000 and is Americas first Golden colored coin as well as the first circulating coin to feature an identifiable Native American. Beginning in 2009, the reverse of the Sacagawea dollar was changed to memorialize Native Americans and their contributions to the history and development of the United States. Reverse design - varies per year; 2009 design depicts a Native American woman planting seeds in a field of corn, beans and squash. The scene represents the Three Sisters method of planting. Set includes an uncirculated dollar from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints and the San Francisco Proof, plus the special release Satin Finish coins from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints.
