From South America comes this rarely seen perennial that forms a big, branching, handsome evergreen shrub with huge 6" lobed foliage. Hibiscus cisplatinus blooms from June onwards with correspondingly large single-rose flowers that are whitish-pink with a dark, rich maroon throat. Very ornamental. Hardy from zone 10 onwards. 9 feet tall, 6 feet wide. Full sun. Rich, moist soil.
