Limited Edition 1972 De Porceleyne Fles Royal Delft Holland Mother's Day Plate - 1972
This Commemorative Limited Edition wall plate has 2 holes in the back to hang on the wall. Hand painted by the oldest delftware company in the Netherlands, De Porceleyne Fles also known as Royal Delft.
In 1971 Royal Delft featured the first Mother's Day (Moederdag) Plate in a limited edition of 2500. These plates had costumes of different parts of Holland. This plate is for 1972 for the town of Hindeloopen. On the back it has CP for 1971 when it was painted along with the painters initials. It is number 1043/2500.
This plate comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The plate has a 7-1/4-in diameter. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some minor crazing which is fairly common with delft and when you hold the plate back and forth in the light, you can see some minor scratches.
